Not long now until the X factor Live starts on ITV1! After all of the comments that were made last week after Cheryl put through two, yes TWO acts that didn't even sing their song properly at the final stage of the audition.

Cher Lloyd (or "Cheryl Cole Wannabe" as I like to call her - shock that Cheryl put her through ey!) and Katie Waissel both got through to the live shows after Cheryl decided that they had both proved themselves worthy of the decision, even though neither of them actually completed their final audition due to poor excuses such as nerves and a sore throat.
There was a huge uproar about the decision considering that acts such as Gamu Nhengu, one of the shows most talented singers if you ask me, did not get chosen to proceed to the live shows.
We all know that there is a big "twist" that will be revealed on the show tonight.... but will Cheryl prove that her choices were in fact the right ones? Or will she continue to disappoint the public by keeping both Cher and Katie in to win? I sure hope not.......
I can't actually wait to watch this tonight but Xfactor is becoming the most attention seeking reality TV show ever since Big Brother (and that is saying something) It's pulling out all the right hat tricks to get in the media. For example why did we all have to read in magazines and newspapers about Cheryl's malaria collapse weeks before it was aired (to create a buzz and for everyone to turn to ITV on that important day where we knew what we were going to see?) I used to like her but she is being played out way too much like a victim in the media nowadays...it was bad enough we had to hear the contestants sob stories and now the judges get them too.
ReplyDeleteAlso the other day I found out that the whole Preston and Chantelle reunited on Big Brother was a massive sham and that they had planned everything weeks before and had organised papped photos for when they came out (not very surprised!) Reality TV used to be good because of the reality factor! But soon they will have to come up with a better way of television entertainment since everyone is going to stop believing it.
The papers have said that tonight apparently 1 more act from each category will be chosen for the live shows. I would not be surprised if Gamu came back and tomorrow's Heat magazine had her story already printed on how she felt when they gave her this new opportunity and how it is to work with the girls who took her place- All pre fabricated! Matt Cardle to win :D
I believe that most of the decisions made on the show are purposefully controversial decisions. Why? well because controversy causes the media to go to town on the show! any publicity is good publicity! its all about making money at the end of the day.
ReplyDeleteAny publicity IS good publicity Kareem , I couldn't agree more. At the end of the day I guess we should congratulate Simon Cowell and the rest of the show team for being as successful as they have been, and for grabbing the public's attention as dramatically as they have managed to.
ReplyDeleteFor now yes, but I think this show will eventually become 'Big Brother' mk 2. People will eventually get bored of the same format and I think the show will eventually die off. I for one only like watching the start of the show when all the dilusional audition. Why? its so funny! after that I lose interest. I dont care who wins the show. I also believe that if they are actually any good they dont need that show to be a success. It may help initially but youve seen so many winners of this show and other shows similar and where are they today? nobody knows or cares? a real talent will make it without shows like these that exploit people desperate for fame and fortune the quick and easy way.
